Lancashire 5 Mile Road Race Championship 2014

The 5 mile Road Race Championship was held as part of the Green Drive 5 on Sunday 19th October 2014. The Lancashire results are here and the race report is below.

The Lancashire Athletic Association combines with other North West County Associations to promote Road Relays for all age groups.This year’s event were held on 13th September and the results are here.

10 Mile Championship Results 16th March 2014

The Lancashire County 10 mile championship was included within the Sweatshop St Anne’s 10 held on 16th March 2014. The overall race results are on John Schofield’s site. North West Counties Road Relays 2017

You will see from the results of the senior women's race that there were some issues. Most athletes ran the designated course but a small number ran either shorter or longer legs. The cause of this may have been a combination of reasons including a potential marshalling error on one of the legs. We apologise for this. However all the other races proceeded without an issue and we are grateful to our volunteer officials and marshalls who spent the whole day helping to make this happen. When organising these larger events volunteering for marshalling and for officials duties is vital and we hope all clubs will consider contributing when calls for help are sent out in the future.
